the rabbits of the night

snow. and lots of it. the upside of things is that i got a four day weekend out of it. the downside is the throbbing. which is pretty much everywhere. when i was, oh let's say 7, a snow day was like striking oil. breaking out the sleds, the snowpants(snowpants!!), and a cup full of fluff with a splash of hot chocolate. but this, this was no day off. we shoveled for almost five hours yesterday, and an hour and a half this morning (thanks mr. plow, we may never get mail again). that's almost thirteen hours of shoveling by my math (which is admittedly spotty). anyway, we're done, at least until tomorrow, when we might get another 8 inches. but god bless new england, because honestly, where else would i go?
