If you can dig it, it's pretty good
New catchphrase? Maybe. Anyway, it's been another month, so here's the obligatory list of things that have gone down:
-It's rained. A lot. Large portions of New England are underwater.
-I bought a camouflage Red Sox hat, and am thinking I'll need to take up chewing tobacco and snowmobiling to complete my new look.
-Work just keeps geting worse. I need to get the shit out of my current position, but just haven't been able to pull the trigger on a move that will land me back in my old department, where I will be scrubbing bird shit in short order. Glamorous, eh?
-I ate a Shepard's Pie, under threat of abandonment by my friend Chris. He was right to resort to such extremes. That was fucking quality eating. Thanks Chris!
-I've decided Battlestar Galactica might be the greatest show on TV right now (It probably isn't, but I got really excited to be watching it again, and felt like making a sweeping, declarative statement about the show).
-Kristin and I had a Kentucky Derby party. We were the only ones who showed up.
-I had almost a week of quality (by my standards) sleep...it was uncanny.
-Jason stole my thunder for my planned withdrawl from Myspace....I've been talking about it for months now, but he beat me to it. Now, it'll just look like I'm more of a follower than I already am.
-I got excited about, and then completely forgot about Free Comic Book Day. That sucked.

If by "things", you mean my Myspace profile, it's on borrowed time because it's completely unimportant to me. Jason put it best....any of the people I'm going to really communicate with online are already on the Vorpalfilm message board, so Myspace becomes obsolete. The only reason I even bother to check it is out of some bizarre sense of obligation....as if by creating that page, I'm now responsible for participating on Myspace...and I just don't care to anymore. I'll keep the VHS page (songs?), but other than that, I think I might hang up my Myspace shoes.
I think we should threaten food-based exile more within our group of friends. Perhaps we all would try more tasty dishes!
OK....Bill, you have one month to try the Deep Impact Roll at Papermoon, otherwise, consider yourself in exile (This of course becomes null and void if Papermoon goes out of business within the next month, which is highly likely). You're right Chris...high pressure eating challenges is the new calling each other gay!
I thought you were a veggiesaurus Mike. Are you back on the team? (And by "the team" I mean pudgy meat lovers).
Will you be getting or do you have the Battlestar Galactica DVDs? I might just want to ask about borrowing them. I haven't seen them all... It is f-in' awesome!
My suggestion? Buy 'em. Do what you must do to come up with some extra scratch (sell drugs, sell yourself, kill someone with money). This is something you'll want to watch, watch again, show to a friend, show to strangers....maybe even..take the DVD sets...to bed. I'm halfway through season 2.0 (I guess the rest of season 2 will be out sometime soon), and am generally flipping my pancake over this show...I've already told Kristin she's going to have to see it (I've been watching it while she's at work at night).
